Mud Run 2011

On a fine Saturday morning a dozen Coasters took to the paths to find the muddiest route they could to help see out the end of the year.

A bit of mud and water was found on the way to Bramshill where the proper mud awaited! Pretty soon we were all dragging ourselves through sucking mud but no-one lost a trainer!

We had the occasional puddle to splash each other in just make sure we were all wet and muddy.

Halfway through we took a short break to put our feet up on the sofa! Well an abandoned settee left in the car park so we didn’t mind getting it all muddy.

Then there was just a small diversion off through some more mud before hitting the ford crossing. This gave us an opportunity to wash all the mud off, but it only came up to our knees.

Everyone ploughed in and it wasn’t too cold, some even went back for a second or third crossing!  The run was slightly longer than originally planned so well done to the two Louise’s who had run to the start and apologies to those families waiting at the end for the return of our mud splattered runners.
